Chaim Rajchenbach
Co-Founder / Managing Director
With an eye for opportunity, Chaim is focused on Cascade Capital’s growth – through acquisition, financial performance, and leadership development. Over the course of his career, Chaim has led several complex acquisitions and launched multiple successful healthcare companies, including Legacy Healthcare, of which he was an integral piece of its transformation into a premier SNF brand. Now, as Managing Director of Cascade Capital, his priorities and passion are focused on deal sourcing, business development, and creating a high-performing, agile executive team capable of exceeding expectations in a fast-paced, dynamic market.
Menachem “Nachy” Shabat
Co-Founder / Managing Director
Nachy has been an integral piece in the formation of several successful healthcare companies, including Legacy Healthcare. He is an accomplished operations leader and has honed his management skills on the frontlines of facility administration at Legacy Healthcare. His expertise in operations, quality initiatives, regulatory requirements and patient satisfaction, provides the vision and leadership necessary to recruit, evaluate and engage high-performing operators. As Managing Director, Nachy plays a key role in Cascade Capital’s strategic planning, and in nurturing operator/lessee relationships.
Ben Shibe
EVP / Chief Investment Officer
Ben has been with Cascade since its launch in 2016. He is involved in all aspects of deal negotiations and has also helped build the company’s financial and asset management systems. Prior to joining Cascade, he worked for a single-family office and hedge fund where he served as the Director of Analysis and led the group’s real estate operations. Ben is a CFA® charter-holder and holds degrees in Computer Science and Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. In addition to his role with Cascade, Ben also serves as Chief Investment Officer for Cascade’s Family Office and its private equity affiliate, Cane Investment Partners.
Mordy Kaplan
EVP / General Counsel / COO
As Cascade General Counsel, Mordy’s primary focus is on the negotiation, structuring and documentation of acquisitions. Prior to joining Cascade, Mordy worked for Gutnicki LLP, a boutique Chicago-based healthcare transactional firm. Mordy has vast experience in all aspects and types of healthcare transactions including mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law, and health care licensure. He earned his J.D., from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he received a Certificate in Business Law and was an Executive Editor of the Chicago-Kent Law Review.
Yitzy Rosenblum
EVP of Acquisitions
Yitzy has been with Cascade since its launch in 2016. Skilled at building and nurturing business relationships, Yitzy oversees Cascade acquisitions, leasing and divestiture activity. Prior to joining in January of 2016, Yitzy developed an extensive background in healthcare marketing, admissions, and business development and later pivoted into the area of mergers and acquisitions in 2014. While working with multiple skilled nursing operators, Yitzy facilitated and directed expansion efforts by identifying strategic opportunities, focusing on those with untapped value within their markets. Yitzy began his career at a well-known post-acute care provider in New York as Director of Marketing and Business Development, where he earned a reputation for transforming the census and financial performance at troubled facilities.
Moti Ninio
EVP of Financial Operations & Acquisitions
Prior to assuming his duties as Chief Financial Officer for Legacy Healthcare and the Director of Financial Operations and Acquisitions for Cascade Capital Group, Moti was the Controller at Legacy Healthcare, LLC. In this role, he developed extensive relationships with both lenders and healthcare operators and closed over $1 billion in financing for assets in various states. He has a thorough knowledge of underwriting and an innate understanding of the numerous regulatory, financial and clinical aspects of managing healthcare operations. Moti received his Masters in Accounting from Northeastern Illinois University.
Daniel Garden
EVP / General Counsel
As Cascade General Counsel, Daniel oversees the company’s legal work including financial transactions and general corporate matters. He brings with him a proven capacity to handle all the nuances of real estate, corporate and contract law, including health care licensure and compliance, while still maintaining a focus on the company’s overall business objectives. Daniel received his B.A., cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago, and a J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
Eli Davis
EVP of Special Projects
Eli’s diverse background in banking, tax liens, healthcare investments and SNFs provide a unique perspective to Cascade’s investment process. In addition to his role at Cascade, Eli is the Managing Partner of Cane Investment Partners which invests in the healthcare industry and alternative investments.
Shomshon Moskowitz
Associate General Counsel
Shomshon, Cascade’s Associate General Counsel, brings over 15 years of extensive legal expertise. His counsel has been instrumental across various sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, food services, real estate, and not-for-profit industries. With a broad spectrum of legal knowledge, he excels in commercial transactions, corporate governance, government compliance, labor and employment issues, and strategic acquisitions. Shomshon holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University and a Juris Doctorate from Northwestern University School of Law.

Daniel Rogala
SVP of Asset Management
Dan’s experience at Sabra Healthcare and Ventas provides a unique insight in nursing home asset management. Dan oversees value maximization of healthcare real estate assets through strategic planning, diligent financial review, on-site market research, site visits and reimbursement optimization.
Susan Davis
SVP of Asset Management
Susan brings a mixture of clinical and operations experience from working with Harborside Healthcare, The VA Maryland Healthcare system and Encore Healthcare. In addition, she adds value with the consulting experience she gained working with for profit and not for profit clients performing operations improvement assessments. Prior to joining Cascade she worked as the Senior Vice President of Operations for SMV Management Company where she gained expertise in health care real estate financing, facility site visits and due diligence for dispositions. She is a Registered Nurse and a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse. She earned her Masters degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Maryland.
Amanda Colwell
SVP of Asset Management
Amanda’s experience with HCR ManorCare as well as two other regional operators as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) and a multifacility operator allows her to bring a unique skillset to asset management. She has experience in the long term care, skilled post-acute care and independent/assisted living arenas. Prior to joining Cascade, Amanda worked as a Senior Vice President of Operations where she gained expertise in developing strategic financial, clinical and reimbursement- based plans for her clients.
Jarret Nickel
VP of Asset Management
Jarret, a healthcare and business expert, holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin Eau-Claire. With experience as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA), he’s managed standalone facilities and multi-facility campuses. Prior to joining Cascade, he served as COO & Executive Managing Director for a regional senior living and behavioral health operator in Central Wisconsin, focusing on strategic planning and financial success. At Cascade, Jarret offers strategic partnership for capital improvements, program expansion, and regulatory issues. He also provides asset support through onsite visits, financial reviews, lender relations, and operational discussions.
Irina Pollak
VP of Asset Management
Irina brings over 25 years of experience in healthcare, with a focus on financial and operational leadership. Her expertise spans a wide range of care settings, including post-acute rehabilitation, skilled nursing facilities, Continuing Care Retirement Communities(CCRCs), and home care services. Irina has an MBA in Economics from the University of Colorado and an MBA in Healthcare leadership from Regis University. Before joining Cascade, Irina Served as COO for a healthcare consulting organization.
Vlad Milrud
SVP of Finance
Vlad has thirteen years of experience in commercial real estate finance and accounting. Throughout his career he has been responsible for financial and investor reporting, sourcing and closing debt financing, and managing the financial aspects of acquisitions and dispositions. Prior to joining Cascade, he worked for a medical office building developer where he served as the Chief Financial Officer and led the group’s finance and accounting operations. Vlad earned his MBA in Accounting with high distinction at Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance at DePaul University.
Anna Lockhart
Chief of Staff
Anna’s supports the organization with large cross-company initiatives, HR and special projects. Her role focuses on people management and creating systems and processes to streamline operations at Cascade and its affiliate Cane Investment Partners. Anna received her MBA from IIT’s Stuart School of Business.
Michael Bertogli
SVP of Underwriting & Analysis
Michael’s experience in financial analysis and underwriting of healthcare operations provides insight on operational improvements to value assets. Michael is proficient in financial statements analysis, financial modeling and forecasting, due diligence and company valuations.
Conrad Seichter
Director of Underwriting and Analysis
Conrad assists the Acquisition team with underwriting of prospective deals and providing support throughout the deal process. He also supports the Asset Management team with analysis of current facilities under management. Conrad previously worked at Senior Housing Owner/ Operators, Senior Lifestyle and Enlivant.
Tom Minch
Senior Financial Analyst
Tom assists both the asset management and acquisitions teams at Cascade Capital Group. In his previous role, Tom worked for Brookfield Properties on the Development Team underwriting potential new developments with a focus on maximizing shareholder value. Tom provides analysis of facility financials currently under management and also performs underwriting on prospective deals.
Erick Bladek
Financial Analyst
Erick assists the asset management team at Cascade Capital Group by providing analysis of facility financials currently under management and monitors portfolios for Cascade’s asset management. Prior to joining Cascade Capital, Erick operated his own Painting Business and was the Portfolio Manager for Illinois State University’s Investment Fund. He performed security analysis, evaluations and managed securities transactions.
Shervin Varghese
Financial Analyst
Shervin supports the asset management team group by analyzing facility financials under management and tracking portfolio performance. He earned a B.S. in Data Science and Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to joining Cascade, he worked at Ingredion, where he streamlined data processes and enhanced analytics to improve decision-making.
Jasmina Redzovic
Asset Management Associate
Jasmina assists the asset management and acquisitions teams at Cascade Capital Group. She has several years of real estate and healthcare experience and provides administrative and project management support to team.
Peggy Vicens
Controller
Peggy is an experienced accounting manager with a demonstrated history of working in Real Estate investments. Peggy is skilled in Budgeting, Fixed Assets, GAAP Financial Reporting, Excel, Yardi, MRI, and Account Reconciliation.
Daniella Aryeh
Senior Accountant
Daniella works with both the Asset Management and Accounting teams. She assists in tracking the operator’s compliance as well as manages the monthly reporting for Cascade’s portfolios, including recording the accounts receivables, accounts payables, and cashflow projections.
Ambreen Melwani
Senior Accountant
Prior to joining Cascade, Ambreen was an accountant at Legacy Healthcare and has over 10 years of experience in the long term care industry. She is experienced in month end close processes, year- end audits and preparation of financial statements. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance from DePaul University.
Maria Mendoza
Senior Accountant
Maria brings over 20 years of accounting expertise, having served as both an accountant and accounting manager across office, retail, and industrial properties. Her skill set encompasses financial report preparation, budgeting, forecasting, tenant reconciliations, audit coordination, and cash management. She holds a BA with an Accounting Concentration from Chicago State University.
Daniel Coakley
Senior Accountant
Daniel is a certified public accountant with experience in third party financial reporting for a diverse array of real estate investments. Prior to joining Cascade, he was a senior fund accountant at Alter Domus servicing some of Chicago’s largest real estate investment firms. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from Marquette University.
Femina Patel
Staff Accountant
Before joining Cascade, Femina held diverse accounting and finance positions in the financial, fleet management, and non-profit/healthcare sectors. Femina now assists Cascade’s senior accountants with projects, accounts payable, balance sheet schedules, year-end audits, and financial reporting. Femina earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northeastern Illinois University.
Samantha Doro
Treasury Accountant
Before joining Cascade Capital Group, Samantha maintained the general ledger and prepared monthly financial statements for a real estate investment portfolio with over 35 properties. In her current role, Samantha monitors and prepares covenant reporting for the portfolio loans, handles treasury management and ensures timely and accurate processing for property acquisitions and operational needs. Samantha has an Accounting Associate’s degree from Harper College.
Angela Garner
Office Manager
Angela has over 15 years of experience in hospitality and operations. Before joining Cascade, she managed multiple office spaces and administrative staff for various Fortune 500 companies. She also served as a Multi-Unit Restaurant Manager across several locations. At Cascade, she is primarily responsible for creating operational processes while maintaining a conducive work environment for our staff.

EA to Nachy Shabat
Patrizia has been a member of the Legacy Healthcare family since September of 2014 as Executive Assistant to the Principal. She has a varied background in fundraising, project management and event sales. In 2016, she transitioned to Cascade and continues to support the team with the same skill and dedication.
Regina Rospenda
EA to Chaim Rajchenbach
Regina has over 20 years’ experience in the commercial real estate industry and an extensive background in project management, corporate event planning, HR, and sales support. As an Executive Assistant, she manages a variety of duties on behalf of the Principal along with other special projects.
